Our History

Founded in 2013, Christian Caregivers and Peace Initiators of Nigeria (CCAPI-Nigeria) was born out of a passion to blend caregiving with peacebuilding, rooted in Christian faith. Our founders saw a need for not only physical care but also emotional and spiritual healing in communities affected by conflict and poverty. Over the years, CCAPI-Nigeria has grown into a well-recognized organization, serving thousands of individuals and families across Nigeria.

Crisis Counseling and Emotional Support

We offer individual and group counseling sessions for people facing crisis situations (e.g., trauma, loss, domestic conflict).

Community Conflict Mediation

We as well facilitate mediation services in communities facing conflicts, such as disputes within families, neighborhoods, or faith communities.

Senior Companionship and Support Program

To reduce loneliness and promote mental and emotional well-being among seniors, we provide companionship services, including regular home visits; and assistance with daily tasks.

Skills Development Workshops for Caregivers

We organize workshops to train both informal and formal caregivers in essential skills like first aid, effective communication, mental health support, and caregiving ethics.

Bereavement Support and Grief Counseling

CCAPIN help families find comfort and healing by providing grief counseling and bereavement support for those whom have lost loved ones, with a focus on compassionate Christian care

Emergency Relief Services

We provide emergency relief supplies (food, clothing, hygiene kits) to those in immediate need due to conflict, natural disasters, or other crises.
